The Angel Cried Blood

Permanent ink on my mind,
Written as a memorial of,
Of an angel,
Angel crying blood…

In the silent yet screaming night,
I got out to find my life.
When I saw a glittering figure,
Standing solely in the midst of crowd.
Here and there the people went,
But the angel stood like a frozen figurine.

Her face a little pearl of white,
Was wrapped in excruciating pain and torment.
Here ocean like eyes narrowed, glaring
At her dress, ghostly glowing.

Then,
Then two drops fell.
One form the heaven,
And one from her eyes.
Which I was jolted to see,
Was a scarlet droplet of blood.
The rain gained strength
And awashed the angels’ mystique beauty,
As her wings shattered,
Into thousands of wilted feathers.
And her knees hit the ground,
Still socking as she cried.

As I stood there dazed
I knew
That a drop form above,
Could never,
Lave away the pain within
When the angel cried blood.
